Seven-year-old Madeline Lochte Bono tries to get the attention of her parents, Amy Lochte and Ryan Bono, while attempting to light some bulbs with pedal power Saturday during the Durango Discovery Museum Solar Carnival at Durango Mountain Resort. The purpose of the event, which had a number of interactive activities for children and adults, was “to make people aware of the Discovery Museum and what we do,” said Dawn Jose of the museum.
