Trail work to be held at Dalla Mountain
Durango Motorless Transit will sponsor trail work at 5 p.m. Wednesday at Dalla Mountain Park on Junction Street.
Participants will clear the trail of brush and install drainage structures. People should wear long pants, long-sleeved shirts, sturdy shoes, sunscreen and a hat and bring water. Pizza and drinks will be served after the trail work.

Climber to tell his tale at Rotary meeting
Joel Schiavona, who recently spent a week climbing in Yosemite, Calif., will present stories about his climb at Daybreak Rotary’s meeting at 7 a.m. Wednesday in the conference rooms at the Durango Community Recreation Center, 2700 Main Ave.
The presentation also will include an explanation of technique and hardware, and a philosophical explanation of low-impact athletics.

Road work to be held east of Dolores
Colorado Department of Transportation maintenance crews will do repair work on a section of Colorado Highway 145 east of Dolores this week.
The project, located between mile post 1 about a half-mile east of town limits and mile post 16, will go from Tuesday to Thursday, weather permitting. Advantage Physical Therapy & Wellness is holding its second annual towel and sock drive through July 29 at 3600 Main Ave., Suite A.
