‘Super Amazing’ artists do it again

Group prepares for 3rd annual house party

Once is an event; twice is a sequel.

But now that the Super Amazing Art Show is in its third year, let’s just call it a tradition.

The show began as a way for a bunch of artists to sell work and have a good time doing it. The first years were a success on both fronts, and so it continues.

The Super Amazing artists are Cindy Coleman, Elizabeth Kinahan, Amy Vaclav-Felker and Miki Harder, who hosts the show and sale at her Jackrabbit Trail home south of town. Harder’s home is a quirky showcase of twists and turns. The ladies, who each create two- and-three dimensional art, find a way to fill every nook, wall and flat space in the house.

Nearly as impressive and fun as the work on display – and make no mistake, it’s fun and impressive – is the party part of Super Amazing Saturday. The stars are as adept at the culinary arts as the visual, and it’s a sumptuous layout of food and beverage that complements the artwork.

“We like to think people come for the art, and the other stuff’s just our way of saying ‘thanks,’” Vaclav-Felker said. “We’re so happy that we’re able to do this for a third year, and it’s all because of incredible community support.”
