You got to hand it to ole Dale Valencia in Week 14; the Bayfield resident did everything right EXCEPT heed my advice down south in Jacksonville.
I told him to bet on Maurice Jones-Drew and the Jaguars, but noooo, he had to go and bet the Buccaneers to win. This is the point, Dale, where I say I told you so.
Like the ever astute Guru, however, Valencia picked the Cardinals to strike gold in the desert over the 49ers, and he won the Week 14 Gridiron Green with a tiebreaking victory over Durangoan Mike Cyphers.
Cyphers, too, could’ve been perfect had he listened to the Guru: He should’ve picked the Falcons to fly in Atlanta, and then, my friend, it would be your name in the headline instead.
I told you so.
Yep, the ole Guru went 14-2 last week to run my overall record to 136-73 and my record the last four weeks to 48-16. I’m as hot as Tim Tebow; that’s to say I’m as hot as the burning bush.
