Ed Zeutzius of Durango tries out a new fly-fishing rod Tuesday in the cold waters of the Animas River below the Ninth Street bridge. Zeutzius received the rod as a Christmas present. Durango’s temperatures should be enticing for fishing this week as the National Weather Service predicts highs in the mid-40s through the weekend.
