Terry and Dinah Swan rehearse a scene from The Taming of the Shrew at the Durango Arts Center for their Tuesday performance in “The Course of True Love Never Did Run True,” part of the Spoken Word series at the Durango Public Library. The Swans also will read selections of tested love from Our Town, The Importance of Being Earnest, Private Lives and others. They’ll be joined by Judy Hook reading selections from Marilynne Robinson’s Pulitzer Prize-winning novel, Gilead, and Brian McAleer will read from loves poems by Shelley, Byron and more. The Valentines Day event is free and will begin at 7 p.m. at the library.
