Ignacio resident Tatum Renee Logan died of cervical cancer Sunday, Feb. 12, 2012, at her home. She was 36.
Mrs. Logan was born to Edwin and Marlene Strickland on Jan. 9, 1976, in Phoenix. She grew up in Phoenix.
On Dec. 8, 1994, she married the man she called her “best friend,” Jason Dean Logan, in Phoenix.
“She loved children and was devoted to her husband and 10 children,” her family said.
Mrs. Logan was an adventurous person who enjoyed the outdoors and horses, her family said.
“She loved God and committed her life to Christian ministry – sharing the love she had for God with others,” her husband said.
Mrs. Logan home-schooled her children and helped other women reach their potential, her family said.
“She was a fixer, always helping others with their problems,” her father said.
Mrs. Logan is survived by her husband of 17 years, Jason Logan, of Arboles; children Cheyenne Logan, Colton Logan, Justus Logan, Wyatt Logan, Bailey Jo Logan, Gerrit Logan, Hannah Mae Logan, Daniel Logan, Alliyah Logan and Mativah Logan, all of Arboles; parents Edward and Marlene Strickland, both of Chino Valley, Ariz.; sister, Cassidy Kohler, of Chino Valley; grandparents Vern and Betty Vrieze of Glendale; and seven nieces and nephews.
Cremation will occur. A memorial service will take place at 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 18, 2012, at Pine River Valley Baptist Church, 11942 Colorado Highway 172, in Ignacio. Her husband, Jason Logan, will officiate. A potluck will be held at the church after the service.
