As many people are today, we are discouraged by the politicians who represent us. They seem long on talk and short on action. Oftentimes, once they get to Washington, D.C., they forget the people who sent them there. There is an exception, and that’s Rep. Scott Tipton. We tried unsuccessfully to obtain licensing to start a new business, and after a year of trying, as a last hope, we contacted Tipton’s office. Over the following four months, not only was Tipton and his staff responsive, they were effective. They set up meetings in Washington, D.C., made phone calls and sent letters until action was taken. Then they stayed in touch with us to make sure that the action turned into success, which it did last week.

Whether you are a Democrat or Republican, Scott Tipton is a common-sense man who follows through on his word and deserves our vote. We need more like him in Washington.
