Job-training program available for seniors

Service, Employment, Redevelopment Jobs For Progress, a paid job-training program for seniors 55 and older, is accepting applications for new enrollments.

Funded in part by the U.S. Department of Labor, SER partners with community organizations to create opportunities for unemployed, low-income seniors wanting to re-enter the workforce.

SER also is seeking nonprofit organizations interested in partnering with the program. They receive free help in exchange for assisting a senior to gain work skills.
