4CORE to complete audit of Rico building

Four Corners Office for Resource Efficiency, or 4CORE, will complete an energy audit and assessment at the Rico Town Hall this month to improve energy efficiency and lower energy costs.

After completing the initial audit March 1, 4CORE is currently in the process of evaluating utility bills and compiling recommendations for improvements in partnership with San Miguel Power Association.

Working with the Colorado Governor’s Energy Office Energy Performance Contracting Program, 4CORE offers technical assistance to Colorado public agencies in the five-county region to improve energy efficiency and reduce energy bills.

Horsemen introduce revamped website

Four Corners Back Country Horsemen has completely revamped its website at www.4cbch.org which is now open for use by members and the general public.

The site will be helpful for horsemen, with a wide-ranging calendar, list of educational programs and clinics, and upcoming events. One of the features is a section called “Connections & Resources,” which offers contact information for public lands managers, Colorado State University Extension services and other Back Country Horsemen chapters; links to other horse organizations; and a full page of listings for farriers, veterinarians, tack and feed stores, outfitters and more. Coming this summer will be a section with information about favorite trails and a photo gallery of Back Country Horsemen activities.
