LPEA must pursue mission of finding cleaner power

I have been considering Jeff Bermanís message (Herald, April 8) about LPEA slipping away from its mission, which I see as finding cleaner affordable power, conservation and planning for future power needs.

When I arrived in Colorado in 1966 the horizon was dark blue.

Now, only after a good snow or hard rain do I get to see maybe a half day of that deep blue. (Coal-fired pollution?) I hope that we donít blame the messenger, but get back to the true mission of cleaner energy. This is certainly the wake-up call.
