In 1976, at the age of 30, Vince Papale tried out and made the roster for the Philadelphia Eagles. Papale, who gave Sunday’s commencement speech for Southwest Colorado Community College, became the oldest rookie, non-kicker, in the history of the National Football League. A movie about Papale called “Invincible” was released in 2006.
