Edwards and Southworth head east to Pueblo

For the second consecutive year, Eva-Lou Edwards will represent Durango High School at the CHSAA Class 4A Girls Tennis State Championships. The Bayfield High School sophomore – she plays for DHS because BHS doesn’t have a tennis program – finished fifth at state a year ago at No. 1 singles as a freshman. Ellen Southworth, a DHS senior, will compete at No. 2 singles. The state tournament starts at 9 a.m. today and will run three days at Pueblo City Park. Enlarge photo
