FLC golf good and smart

Laudermilk All-RMAC; 2 all-academic

Fort Lewis College golfer Charlie Laudermilk was named to the All-Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference menís golf third team recently for his work on the links this season.

In 21 rounds of golf this season before the NCAA Division II West/Central SuperRegionals, Laudermilk averaged 76.05 strokes per 18 holes, and he was named to the All-RMAC Tournament team after finishing fourth at the RMAC Championships.

Laudermilk, an FLC junior from Austin, Texas, and one of only two upperclasmen on the roster, shot 76-74-79Ė229 for a 57th-place tie at SuperRegionals on May 7-9 at the Wigwam Golf Resort Gold Course in Litchfield Park, Ariz.

While Laudermilk was named to the All-Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference third team for his play on the course, FLC menís golfers Nick Ellis and Ronnie Toplyn were named All-RMAC Academic for their work in the classroom.

Ellis, a sophomore, has a 3.88 GPA in business administration.

Toplyn, a redshirt freshman from Poudre High School in Bellvue, has a 3.9 GPA in business administration/management.
