Don’t sleep on the Narrow Horse; just swim it

The weekend of the Iron Horse Bicycle Classic, the annual Narrow Horse 1,500-meter Swim will take place May 25.

Warmups are at 3 p.m., and the swim will start at 4 p.m.

Golf With Grace swings into The Glacier Club

The second annual Golf With Grace golf tournament will be held May 30 at The Glacier Club. The tournament benefits Grace Preparatory Academy, a private Christian school in Durango.

There will be a hole-in-one competition for a Harley Davidson.

Registration is $150.

Stillwater Foundation blends music with sports

Together with its summer music programs, the Stillwater Foundation is offering sports programs, too.

Stillwater’s sports camps will begin June 11 and will include half-day summer camps for ages 8 through 12, coed tee ball and children’s soccer for ages 5 through 7, dodgeball for ages 8 through 10, baseball and soccer training camps for ages 6 though 8, 9-11 and 12-14 and flag football for ages 8 through 12.

Individual and family gym memberships also are available.

Spring tennis mixer to mix it up June 2

The spring tennis mixer is looking for players to throw their names in the mix for the June 2 event.

Tennis balls will be provided for players in the doubles-only tournament, which will start at 10 a.m. on the Durango High School tennis courts.

No partner is needed to enter; players will rotate partners. All levels of players are welcome.

The entry deadline for the competition is May 31, and entry forms are available at the event sponsors: Your Running and Tennis Store, Firestone of Durango and Subway North.
