Bike-rental business announces opening

Durango Bike Rentals announces its opening at 2874 Main Ave.

The business is owned by Cindy Whitehead Buccowich, a professional mountain bike racer. Jon Buccowich will be the business’s chief mechanic. The couple’s children, Parker and Brooke, also will help with the business and provide customer service.

The bike rental shop offers seven-speed cruisers, kids’ bikes, tandems and trailers. Delivery is available. With almost 40 bikes, the business is able to accommodate groups. From its location, a customer can ride to the paved Animas River Trail via two right turns on side streets. The business is open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. seven days a week.

Mexican fast-food restaurant opens

Betos announces its opening at 275 East Eighth Ave.

The restaurant is owned by Beto Navaro and John Gutierrez.

The Mexican fast-food restaurant is open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday to Thursday, 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. Friday to Saturday and 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday.
