Regulars at south City Market will have to find other options for the next two weeks as the grocer closes for remodeling.
“We don’t like to inconvenience our customers,” City Market spokeswoman Kelli McGannon said. “We’ve been trying to keep the store open as much as possible during the remodel, but we’ll be taking up all the flooring during this time, and it’s just easier for everyone.”
The store will close at 6 p.m. Saturday, and it is scheduled to reopen at 6 a.m. June 17, she said. Perishables, including produce, will be marked down today and Friday.
By the end of the remodel, the store will have a larger produce section, including more organic fruits and vegetables, and more self-checkout stations, McGannon said.
