Durango resident Paul Randolf Roberts died Friday, May 25, 2012, at his home. He was 41. The cause of death is under investigation.
Mr. Roberts was born to Charles and Marjorie Roberts on Dec. 12, 1970, in Durango. He lived his entire life in Durango, except for a period in Ord, Neb., where he attended high school through 11th grade.
Mr. Roberts worked for Branson Traffic and Control as a flagger.
“He might have waved to you once in traffic,” his family said.
He married Penny Jeness at the gazebo in Rotary Park. The marriage later ended in divorce.
Standing well over 6 feet in height, Mr. Roberts was known as “Too Tall Paul.” He enjoyed music and spending time with friends and family.
Mr. Roberts is survived by his former wife, Penny Jeness, of Durango; daughters Lacey Roberts and Gabryel Roberts, both of Durango; brother, Charlie Roberts, of Durango; and sisters Tina Maddux and Mary Roberts, both of Durango.
Cremation will occur. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
