Bobcats go 3 on All-SJBL squad

IHS baseball lands Herrera, Vigil, Young

The three senior leaders of the Ignacio High School baseball team recently were rewarded with All-San Juan Basin League selections for the 2012 season.

Selections were based on voting by the SJBL coaches.

The three All-SJBL picks:

Senior infielder/pitcher Tyler Young, his second consecutive nomination.

Outfielder Jeffrey Herrera.

Pitcher/designated hitter Jesse Vigil.

Klancey Krafka, a junior infielder from Dove Creek, was voted the Most Valuable Player, and Jim Everin of Dolores was voted Coach of the Year in the conference.

Nucla led the voting with five players named to the all-league team: Morgan Rummel, Blayde Harrigan, Nick Rushing, Brad Campbell and Sheldon Riddle.

Four Dolores Bears’ baseball players were selected: Cody Carroll, Richard Belt, Nic Hassinger and Kolten Shull.
