The Bayfield Wolverines, baseball champions in the Intermountain League, led the 2012 list of All-Intermountain League selections.

Bayfield senior Colt Walker, who has signed to play college baseball at Otero Junior College in La Junta, was named to the All-Intermountain League team.

Walker, a pitcher/infielder, also was voted the IML Player of the Year, voted on by IML coaches.

Pitcher Clay Miller, who led the league in wins and strikeouts, was voted to the all-confererence team along with teammates Matthew Knickerbocker, Trey Lange, Drake Rhodes and Hunter Funkhouser.

The Wolverines advanced to the second round of the Class 3A state tournament before falling to Holy Family.

Bayfield, with a perfect record in the IML, finished 14-7.

Eaton (23-4) won the CHSAA Class 3A Boys Baseball State Championships.

Four Alamosa Mean Moose players were named all-conference for 2012: Danile Husmann, Zach Meyer, Hjacob Heaton and Tyler Cerny.

Jason Romero of Alamosa was voted IML Coach of the Year.
