We have earned back $128 for 2,470 kilowatts of electricity produced this past year in Durango. Our utility bills were basically the base price: $16 a month.

If the base price is raised instead of the usage price because all the cheap coal is gone, further solar and wind development will be discouraged. I encourage the LPEA directors to consider this when making the next big price adjustment.
