Nutrition department accepting bids
The Durango School District 9-R Student Nutrition Department announces an invitation to bid on bakery items for the district.
Bids must be addressed to Durango School District 9-R, Student Nutrition Services, 201 E. 12th St., Durango, CO 81301, and received by June 22. Telephone amendments, faxed bids and emailed bids will not be accepted. School food-service regulations require whole-grain breads.

Camp Invent accepting enrollments
Camp Invent will take place from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. June 18-22 at Riverview Elementary School.
The camp is for children entering grades 1 to 6 this fall.
This year’s Envision program features: “Magnetropolis,” where participants will explore the power of magnetism; “Inventeureka,” where participants will build their own invention that will morph into new prototypes; “I Can Invent: Balloon Burst,” where participants will take apart a broken machine and make their own water balloon-popping machine; and “Action and Adventure Games,” where participants will create their own game.
The cost is $220. People can save $25 per child when registering two children in the same household and $50 per child for three or more siblings registering at the same time. Scholarships and volunteer positions are available to reduce tuition.

Stillwater Foundation offers summer camps
Summer music and sports camps are being offered all summer long at both Stillwater Foundation music and sports facilities.
Musicians of all ages can join beginning percussion, intermediate and advanced band, blues, creative strings and vocal camps. Music camps are taught by Stillwater and other professional musicians.
Sports camps are offered at Stillwater’s Bodo Park indoor facility, and camps will be both in and outdoors. Kids can participate in soccer, field games and more.

Summer art camp available during July
Summer Camp Art in the Middle is offering acrylics, watercolor, sculpy, yupo and more art classes to sixth-, seventh- and eighth-grade students during July at its art program at Mountain Middle School. The hours are 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. The cost is $150 per week.

Clay Room offering summer programs
The Clay Room, a paint-your-own-pottery studio at 171 E. Seventh St., will offer classes and activities throughout the summer. There will be instruction in clay, cultures, art skills, tea parties, pet rocks and more. Other classes will include cake decorating, Chinese and Spanish language and polymer clay.
