Longtime Durango resident Billie L. Decker died Thursday, June 7, 2012, at her home. She was 67.
Ms. Decker was born to Bill and Maggie Decker on Oct. 28, 1944, in Durango. She attended school in Durango and graduated from Durango High School.
Ms. Decker worked for many years as a cosmetologist and in the food-service industry in the Four Corners, including several years as a bartender at the Diamond Belle Saloon.
Her son, Robert D. Decker, was killed the same day.
Ms. Decker is survived by extended family members.
A joint memorial service with her son, Robert Decker, will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, June 22, 2012, at the Marvel United Methodist Church, 129 County Road 133.
The cause of death was homicide.
