Weather conditions in Southwest Colorado are expected to remain hot and dry with a high in Mancos expected to hit 89 today.
A 20 percent chance of thunderstorms are in the forecast for Tuesday, which may cause a problem with dry-lightning strikes throughout Southwest Colorado.
Dave Imming, a spokesman with Durango Fire & Rescue Authority, which had been battling the State Line Fire through Sunday, said a new Type 3 team will be assuming the lead in battling the State Line Fire today.
He believes the Type 3 team that had been handling the Weber Fire near Mancos would be moving to the State Line Fire.
A Type 2 team took over responsibility for the Weber Fire on Sunday evening.
