Firefighters are battling a fire on the Ute Mountain Ute Reservation northwest of Mesa Verde National Park.

Dubbed the Escarpment Fire, it was being held at 50 acres as of Wednesday night. A ground crew, single-engine air tanker and helicopters were on scene.
