Small fire doused in Durango house

Some contents in the house at 763 Animas View Drive caught fire early Sunday morning, causing minimal damage to the home, said Dave Imming, spokesman for Durango Fire & Rescue Authority.

The incident was not a structure fire, and DFRA crews put the blaze out quickly, Imming said.

People were in the home at the time of the incident, and no serious injuries seemed to occur at the time, he said.

Crews from DFRA were later called back to the residence to assist one person with possible complications from smoke inhalation, he said.

The Durango Police Department and DFRA are investigating the incident, Imming said.
