Saying that a shot started fire is ridiculous

I graduated from Fort Lewis College and was a Durango resident for years. Sometimes I still like to check the online edition of The Durango Herald.

Imagine my surprise at reading politically motivated nonsense about target shooting’s role in recent wildfires. The idea of target shooting being responsible, in any way, for a wildfire is completely ridiculous.

Anyway, assuming that such an outlandish claim is true, everyone should be sure to get an emergency pistol. If you’re caught in a wilderness survival situation and need to start a fire, just get a bundle of sticks and shoot at it.
