Brady Haynes’ “live rattle can” painting is one of the many sights to see at this weekend’s 21st annual Art on the Animas exhibition.
Haynes, an artist and Fort Lewis College grad who has lived in Durango for eight years, hopes to create at least 20 works during the three-day event that began Friday. He uses flames to help dry the paint before it hits the paper.
Art on the Animas, which features fine art, crafts, food and more, continues from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. today and from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday along the Animas River Trail in Santa Rita Park.
