Farmington resident Marion L. Webber died Saturday, July 21, 2012, at The Gingerich Home for the Elderly in Farmington. She was 101.
Mrs. Webber was born May 3, 1911 in Animas City to Clarence Earl Hiner and Esther Lillian Ussher Hiner. She was the second of eight children.
On June 1, 1935, she married Samuel H. Webber in Durango. The couple lived in and around Durango until they moved to Farmington in 1980 to be closer to their son, Lanny.
“Marion was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother,” her family said. “During her lifetime she worked at the Orr School as the cook and at being a dairy farmer’s wife.”
Mrs. Webber was preceded in death by her husband Samuel H. Webber.
She is survived by her son Lanny Webber of Farmington; sister Lillian Davis of Durango; three granddaughters; two great-grandsons; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, July 25, 2012, at Hood Mortuary in Durango.
