Locals wanting to grab a quick beer at Steamworks Brewing Co. received good news this month: The brewpub has completed its remodel of the North Courtyard, a new bar and waiting area attached to the existing building.
The area is designed as a space for locals who want to grab a beer and an appetizer or for those waiting for a table in the dining area.
The courtyard previously consisted of a temporary tent for certain occasions. The 2,000-square foot space now has a permanent covering, bar and high-top tables.
The addition cost about $100,000, co-founder Kris Oyler said.
“We wanted to give our regular local bar patrons a place they could drop in and relax during the busy summer season, have a beer and maybe an appetizer or pizza,” Oyler said in a news release.
The new addition is seasonal, open for summer and part of the fall months while weather permits.
It is open daily from 4 to 10 p.m.
While the full Steamworks menu is not available in the courtyard, some of the regular dishes are still offered.
