Free workshop to be offered to brain injury survivors Aug. 15

Rocky Mountain Human Services will host a free workshop called “Technology to Improve Your Life,” for brain injury survivors to learn the benefits of assistive technology and social networking, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Aug. 15 at Durango Public Library, 1900 East Third Ave.

This workshop will provide an opportunity for brain injury survivors to try out technology platforms and software, evaluate how assistive technology can help in daily living and learn how social networking can help connect to employers, support groups and more. A light lunch will be provided.

Presentation to be held about how to resolve allergies

Advanced Allergy Relief Center of the Southwest will present “Resolving Seasonal Allergies and Allergic Asthma” at 6:30 p.m. Thursday in Program Room 2 of Durango Public Library, 1900 East Third Ave.

Caleb Gates, licensed acupuncturist, will discuss how airborne allergies can be resolved using Advanced Allergy Therapeutics.
