Several Americans cheered on the United States beach volleyball teams at the Olympics.

The last two days have been a bit exhausting, with two nighttime volleyball games. The first one was beach volleyball, and what a party – loads of fun, packed stadium and all. Our goal according to the announcer was to keep the prime minister (who lives next door to the stadium) up all night with our cheering. We gave it our best.

Tuesday night was court volleyball. There was still a large crowd and very enthusiastic, but not quite the same energy.

Today, we are off to Wimbledon to watch tennis – a game I know nothing about. But the announcers do a very good job of explaining each event and what to look for. We have found this very helpful.

Crowds seem to be growing with each day, and the Tube has been packed most of the time. We did manage to find a pub to watch the women’s final in gymnastics, and they did great.

Weather has been a bit more rainy but not bad. We have been definitely getting our exercise with all the walking. We also managed to squeeze in a few hours at the Tower of London, see the crown jewels and learn about the history of the place.
