Workshop available to brain injury survivors

Rocky Mountain Human Services will host a free workshop for brain injury survivors from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesday at Durango Public Library, 1900 East Third Ave.

Participants will be able to try out technology platforms and software, and evaluate how assistive technology and social networking can help. A light lunch will be provided.

San Juan Basin to offer back-to-school immunizations

San Juan Basin Health Department will conduct “Back-to-School Immunizations Days” from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday.

The department is requesting a fee of $14.70 for each immunization to cover costs of administering the vaccination. Otherwise, the vaccine will be provided free through the federally funded Vaccines for Children program. No child will be turned away because of inability to pay.
