I wanted to get in an early plug for the third annual Durango and Farmington Lions Club Charity Golf Tournament, which will be held Sept. 22 at the Glacier Club, north of Durango. The four-person scramble format will cost $150 per player, which includes greens fee, cart, a full lunch after golf, prizes and a donation to the Lions Club. With the fall colors changing around this event, the golfing should be spectacular. Call Dave Peters at799.7652 for sign-up information.
