Leavitt Group announces new hire

Leavitt Group Four Corners Insurance Agency announces the hiring of Amie McAteer as a licensed insurance agent specializing in personal accounts.

McAteer has more than 12 years of experience in the insurance industry. She has extensive knowledge with insurance sales, needs analysis and claims assistance. McAteer will guide clients through all personal home and auto-insurance needs. She is a graduate of Colorado Northwestern Community College and attended Adams State and Fort Lewis College. She loves music, outdoors and people.

Radon, real estate presentation to be held

The Four Corners Office for Resource Efficiency (4CORE) and Colorado State University Extension Office will offer a free web-cast presentation “Radon and the Real Estate Professional” from 8:45 to 11 a.m. Tuesday in the Lightner Creek Room of the La Plata County Fairgrounds, 2500 Main Ave.

Attendees will receive breakfast and two continuing education credits.

New mechanic hired at Durango bike shop

Mountain Bike Specialists announces Cody Wilkins has been hired as a mechanic.

Wilkins has experience in the bicycle industry and recently moved to Durango from Fayetteville, Ark. He has a bachelor’s degree from the University of Arkansas. The bike shop offers many product lines including Specialized, Santa Cruz and Niner and MBS, and has created a historical in-house cycling museum.
