Durango resident Jeffrey Victor Giglio died Monday, May 21, 2012, in Mexico. He was 67.
Known as “Jeff,” he was born March 8, 1945, in Chicago, where he grew up.
“An adventurer at heart, he left the Windy City to travel and explore the world,” his family said. “He loved the West and eventually landed in Durango, where he enjoyed preparing his favorite Italian dishes for his friends and family. Always the life of the party, he put a smile on everyone’s face with his humor and one-liners.”
Mr. Giglio moved to Durango in the 1980s, where he founded High Speed Internet For You.
His family said some of his heroes were old-time movie cowboys such as Gene Autry and Roy Rogers.
“Jeff always played the cowboy in his dreams,” his family said.
Mr. Giglio is survived by his daughter, Dominique Giglio of Durango; one granddaughter; two sisters and one brother; and numerous cousins.
No services are planned at this time.
