Softball season isn’t over: Knock it around at Knocker

The Knocker A.C. Softball Rendezvous will be played at Hartman Sports Park on Saturday and Sunday in Aztec, N.M.

There will be coed and men’s brackets. Balls and bats will be provided, but players can swing their own bats.

There is a three-game guarantee and a $175 entry fee. The entry deadline is 6 p.m. today.

Can You Dig It? If you can, bump, set, spike in N.M.

The Can You Dig It? Volleyball Tournament is looking for coed teams for Saturday’s competition at the Navajo Preparatory School in Farmington.

The tournament format is six on six, with three males and three females on the court for each seven-player team; it’s pool play with double elimination.

The entry fee is $125 per team.

Youth Cross Country Races start running Sept. 26

This year’s Youth Cross Country Races, with the Durango High School cross country team in tow, will take place Sept. 26, Oct. 2 and Oct. 10 at the Durango High School track.

There will be a 1-miler for preschoolers through the fourth grade and 1½ miles for fifth through eighth grade.
