The Durango Colts are putting together a season to remember.
The fourth-grade Youth American Football League program is 6-0 this season, and after its 44-0 shutout last weekend, the Colts now have four shutouts and have outscored its opponents 238-20 this season.
Durango beat Bayfield 44-0 on Saturday and led 32-0 at the half.
Jordan Woolverton passed for two touchdowns, rushed for two touchdowns and threw an extra point. On the season, Woolverton has eight rushing touchdowns, three passing touchdowns and nine extra points.
Gage Mestas had a receiving touchdown and a receiving extra point. On the season, Mestas has nine rushing touchdowns.
Westin Baken had a touchdown catch and a rushing touchdown, and Ty Martinez and Cal Walsh scored rushing touchdowns.
Durango’s YAFL programs went 2-3 in Week 6 and are 17-11 overall this season.
The second-grade Durango Demons lost 27-7 to the Farmington Saints. Tagert Bardin scored the Demons’ touchdown, while Kai Williams added the extra point.
The third-grade Durango Dolphins lost 50-6 to the Bloomfield Bobcats.
The fifth-grade Durango Patriots defeated the Pagosa Pirates 13-0 on rushing touchdowns from Joe Arnwine and Everett Howland.
The sixth-grade Durango 49ers lost 7-6 at Cortez. Ben Bates scored the 49ers’ touchdown.
The Colts will try for 7-0 when they play host to Ignacio at 9 a.m. Saturday at Miller Middle School, then the Dolphins will host Aztec at 11 a.m., and the Patriots will host Bayfield at 3 p.m.
The Durango Demons will play Aztec at 1 p.m. at Farmington, then the 49ers will play host Farmington at 3 p.m.
