Bobcats beat Ouray, fall to Dolores at their triangular

The Ignacio High School volleyball team split a pair of San Juan Basin League matches Saturday.

Playing in a triangular schedule at Ignacio High School, the Bobcats lost 3-1 to Dolores in the morning before beating Ouray 3-0 in the afternoon.

Dolores took the opener from Ignacio 25-16, 25-27, 25-16, 25-11.

But the Bobcats rallied to beat Ouray 25-20, 25-23, 25-12.

In the other match in the triangular, Dolores beat Ouray 3-0.

Ignacio moved to 5-3 in the San Juan Basin League with Saturday’s split. The Bobcats are 7-3 overall.

Last weekend, Ignacio scored identical 3-1 wins over Mancos and Ridgway.

The Bobcats’ next match will be against the Bayfield junior varsity team Tuesday night at the Ignacio High School gym.
