ServSafe course to be offered

San Juan Basin Health Department will offer a ServSafe Food Safety Protection course from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Oct. 29, from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Oct. 30, and from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Oct. 31 at the health department, 281 Sawyer Drive.

Sponsored by the National Restaurant Association, this course is designed for professional food-service management. Advance registration is required. RSVP is needed by Friday. The cost of $150 covers textbooks, materials and the five-year certification test.

Food-safety class to be held Tuesday

A food-safety class will take place from 1 to 5 p.m. Tuesday in the San Juan Basin Health Department’s training room, 281 Sawyer Drive.

This class is designed for food-service employees and as a refresher class for managers. Certificates issued are based on demonstration of knowledge. The cost is $40.
