Day 1, Game 1, Division I, and Fort Lewis College acquitted itself just fine.
The FLC men’s basketball team opened its exhibition season against DI Wyoming on Wednesday night on the Wind River Reservation in Ethete, Wyo. After leading the Cowboys for much of the first half, the DII Skyhawks eventually gave way in an 82-61 loss.
“We experimented with a little bit of everything,” said FLC head coach Bob Hofman, who used 13 players.
FLC trailed 36-31 at the half, and the Skyhawks got big contributions from Torrey Udall (15 points) and Alex Herrera (12).
