Tony Gonzalez went up and over Curtis Lofton for a first-half touchdown catch at home Thursday night against the New Orleans Saints. Michael Turner scored on a 3-yard first-quarter touchdown run, and Matt Bryant kicked three field goals to lead the Atlanta Falcons to a 23-13 victory. New Orleans got a 1-yard touchdown run from Mark Ingram in the first half and a pair of second-half field goals from Garrett Hartley, but they didn’t get a touchdown pass from Drew Brees, whose NFL record ended at 54 consecutive games with a throwing TD. New Orleans is 5-7; Atlanta improved to an NFL-best 11-1, clinched the NFC South and earned a spot in the playoffs.
