Business After Hours slated for arts center

The Durango Chamber of Commerce will hold its December Business After Hours gathering from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday at the Durango Arts Center.

The cost is $7 for members and their guests. Food will be provided by Durangourmet and beer will be provided by Steamworks Brewing Co.

Tuesday lecture to focus on anxiety therapies

Naturopathic physician Nicola St. Mary and therapist Jordan Wildman will present a free lecture about anxiety from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at Durango Public Library, 1900 East Third Ave.

Learn about a spectrum of options available for safe and effective approaches to deal with anxiety.

Topics will include: Mindfulness for prevention and regulation; the role of nutrition deficiencies, food and supplements; post-traumatic stress and anxiety; and recognizing and regulating triggers.

CDOT aeronautics conducts survey

The Colorado Department of Transportation’s Division of Aeronautics is conducting a study to measure and report on how airports benefit businesses, agencies, residents and other groups in Colorado.

Everyone in Colorado who uses a Colorado airport for commercial airline service, general aviation flights, overnight shipping or air freight is urged to participate in the study to help the Division of Aeronautics support its programs and educate elected officials, the general public and others on the role airports play in improving all facets of Colorado’s economy and supporting many important services.
