U.S. Highway 160/550 junction to be discussed

The Colorado Department of Transportation and the city of Durango will host a meeting regarding the proposed west junction of U.S. Highway 160 and U.S. Highway 550 intersection improvement project from 4 to 5:30 p.m. Wednesday at Durango City Hall, 949 East Second Ave.

This public meeting is being held to present and request public feedback about proposed project design concepts to include: the west junction of U.S. Highway 160/U.S. Highway 550; intersection of U.S. Highway 550 (Camino del Rio)/College Drive; and raised medians and islands.

Lutheran church to host festival, chili supper

Christ the King Lutheran Church will host its third-annual “CtK Christmas Worship Festival & Chili Supper” from 5 to 8 p.m. Saturday at the church, 495 Florida Road, across from Chapman Hill.

The concert will feature seasonal music performed by the adult choir, the First United Methodist Church Bell Choir, two contemporary worship teams, Sunday School Pageant and the “Littlest Angel Singers” from Children’s World Learning Center. After the concert, a free chili supper will be served and music will be performed by the men’s barbershoppers ensemble. Children’s activities will be part of the event.
