Limbaugh needs to embrace U.S. heroes

I first heard about the Newtown, Conn., shooting while listening to Rush Limbaugh. I started listening about 11:30 a.m. Friday, the day of the shooting. Limbaugh was talking about how the “liberals” were going to use this to go after our guns.

He then went on about what a terrible president Barack Obama is for stating that we need to do something as a nation to prevent this sort of thing happening in the future.

He was so busy talking about how the “liberals” were going to demand stricter gun laws that he forgot to express any human feeling toward the children and parents involved in this tragedy.

Limbaugh was turning this into a political circus before the bodies were even removed from the school. Well, this is what I have to say to Limbaugh: This is America. Love it or leave it.

I have listened to him and others go on about how bad our public-school system is and how we need to strip teachers of their rights, tenure and collective bargaining; how we need to be able to fire teachers.

These are the very same teachers who will stand between a gunman and their students, and give their lives to protect our children.

This is something that Limbaugh would never even consider. Please leave our country ASAP and never talk badly about our teachers on our sacred American soil again. Our teachers are our heroes.
