The weather might be frightful to some, but it�s not stopping dedicated skiers and snowboarders at Ski Hesperus. The area 11 miles west of Durango officially opened Dec. 21. Lift operations are from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Night skiing is scheduled to begin in January.
