If the Ignacio High School girls basketball team played a second half like their first half, they would’ve had a win, head coach Justa Whitt said.
But they didn’t.
The Bobcats (5-7, 2-1 San Juan Basin League) fell apart after the halftime break and lost to Dove Creek 41-37 on Friday night in Dove Creek.
“We started out great, had some great offensive runs, good steals, wonderful press,” Whitt said. “Ended up, I don’t know what happened in the second half.
“We stopped doing what we were doing in the first half.”
Cloe Seibel led IHS with 14 points, most off layups, and picked off three steals before she was knocked from the game with a concussion.
