DHS vs. MCHS: Get ’em while they’re hot

It’s rivalry time, so get your tickets while they’re hot.

This year’s annual home-and-home boys and girls basketball series between archrivals Durango High School and Montezuma-Cortez High School will start Thursday at DHS.

Tickets go on sale today at the DHS Activities Office and will be sold through Thursday if available. The schedule:

8 a.m. to 5 p.m. today.

8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday.

8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Wednesday.

8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday.

All staff and students planning to attend the games must bring their identification to the activities office to receive their free ticket no later than 1 p.m. Thursday. All staff and students must have their tickets to attend the game, no exceptions.

There are two tickets – at cost – reserved for the parents of each varsity player that must be purchased at the activities office no later than noon Wednesday. Booster Club passes may be used to purchase parents’ tickets.

Booster Club pass holders also must have tickets in advance of the games and can be picked up at the activities office no later than 1 p.m. Thursday. Tickets are available on a first-come, first-serve basis.

All tickets are $5, and there are 1,000 tickets available for DHS fans, including Booster Club members, general public and DHS staff and students. Doors will open at 4:30 p.m. Thursday.
