Navajo Prep to hold hoops and volley tournaments
Navajo Preparatory High School in Farmington will hold a pair of tournament the next two weekends: The Diggin’ It Volleyball Tournament on Saturday and the Rising Stars Youth Basketball Tournament on March 8-9.
The volleyball tournament will be 4-on-4 – males and females, no coed. Each roster will be limited to five players.
The tournament is pool play, followed by double elimination.
Awards will be handed out for first through third place.
The cost is $85 per team.
The basketball tournament will have 8-and-under coed, 10-and-under coed and 13-and-under boys and girls divisions.
Each team will have 10 players.
The tournament is double elimination, with one winner-take-all championship game. There will be awards for first through third place, and an all-tournament team and MVP will be chosed for the 13-and-under division.
The cost is $120 per team.

Knockers are ready to swing into the softball season
The Knocker Athletic Club will host the Kickoff Knocker Softball Tourney on March 9-10 at Hartman Sports Park in Aztec.
There will be coed and men’s brackets, a three-game guarantee and individual awards to the top two teams; awards will be based on an eight-team bracket.
The cost is $150 per team.

Mountain Bike Specialists will host a free bike clinic
Mountain Bike Specialists will host a free maintenance clinic at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday at its downtown Main Ave. location.
The topics covered will be the care and cleaning of your bike, lubing the chain and how to fix a flat.
The clinic will last an hour.
