George and Lori Ann Glass of Glass & Glass Bodywork announce their approval to take major insurances available in the state of Colorado for massage-therapy services.

The business also has expanded its hours to 8 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday, by appointment Wednesdays and two Saturdays per month.
Homebuyer-education classes available
The Regional Housing Alliance of La Plata County will offer these free monthly Homebuyer Education classes at Fort Lewis College:
5:30 to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday.
8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Saturday.
5:30 to 8:30 p.m. April 18.
8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. April 20.
The class is an eight-hour program designed to help participants purchase and own a home. It is facilitated by the alliance with contributions from local professionals. More classes will be offered in May and June.

Economic agency receives recognition
Region 9 Economic Development District was honored as Sponsor of the Year at the Colorado Small Business Development Center Network awards ceremony Feb. 7 in Denver.
Region 9 was recognized for its ongoing support for more than 10 years.
An Agricultural Category was added this year, and first place was awarded to Kellie Pettyjohn of the Wiley Carrot Farm in Mancos.
Laurie Sigillito represented Region 9 and the Southwest Colorado Small Business Development Center at the ceremony. Sigillito, owner of Fast Signs in Durango, serves on the Region 9 District board and the centerís Regional Advisory Board.
Business district board announces members
Antonia Clark has been appointed by the Durango City Council as a new member of the Durango Business Improvement District board of directors, and BID board member John Wells was reappointed for a new three-year term.
Clark assumes the seat previously held by Durango Coffee Co. owner Tim Wheeler, who retired from the board. Clark, a fifth-generation Durangoan, is part of the family-owned Toh-Atin Gallery in downtown Durango.
Wells, partner/broker of the Wells Group, is a graduate of Fort Lewis College with a degree in business administration.

Samson Resources donates to nonprofits
Samson Resources announces its recent donation of $3,625 to the Boys & Girls Club of La Plata County and $3,625 to La Plata County 4-H.
The Good Catch Program is designed to make Samsonís workplace safer while giving back to the communities in which it operates. The program provides that employee incentive awards are matched by Samson and directed to designated nonprofit organizations in its local field communities.
